Have you received a Phishing Email (scam) from a similar company?

How the scam works: You will notice they initially email someone in your organisation then use their response (to no attachment sent) to validate your company email domain; they then email your generic Accounts@ your company to request action pretending to be the person from your business as the email contact. 
You will see their email is not actually your contact but using just their name masked under a .pl (poland) based email address.

What we have done already: This has been escalated to Netsafe, DIA and Citibank, BNZ, Kiwibank, ANZ already - this looks like it is now using overseas banks. The accounts used appear to be changing. We recommend you contact the bank listed in the original scam-invoice to alert them to suspicious activity on one of their accounts. There may be someone vulnerable linked to any NZ accounts, so we would strongly encourage you to contact the bank if a NZ bank is showing as the recipient of the funds.

The scammers are using our Business Name and physical address, but all other info is incorrect - we also do not provide those services. 

If you have the original email please forward it to [email protected] as they are providing the scammer's email services. Their abuse policies should then allow them to shut down that address. They require the original emails sent direct from you and not via us.
